Company Structure

  • We are not a franchise - we are one single team spread out over eleven offices. Each of these are managed by senior partners and by working together to share ideas and knowledge we deliver the most comprehensive, dynamic and compelling real estate service.

      By identifying the limitations of a typical franchise operation, our company structure encourages a total team approach. By their nature, franchise offices do not have the ability to draw on the knowledge and skills from their neighbouring franchisees. Nelson Alexander utilises the experience and resources of all eleven offices, not just the office you’ve chosen to engage. With each office looking after the other, we achieve much more together than we could separately.

      This structure encourages a culture of close-knit people who are dedicated to each other both personally and professionally.  Each staff member has a stake in our clients’ success, and in turn, our success. Our agents and offices are passionate about teamwork, working collaboratively towards common goals and fostering a shared vision of the future.

Charitable Foundation

  • Our connection with the local communities we serve runs deep within our company’s culture, and we are active and passionate about delivering meaningful responses to the needs of worthwhile causes.The Nelson Alexander Charitable Foundation was established in 2005 to provide a platform for staff participation in community service.

       

      Staff Involvement

      The Foundation is run by a committee of employees who encourage all staff to be proactive in their involvement, identifying particular causes and organisations that they wish to support. In addition Nelson Alexander staff are granted two days paid leave per year to participate in volunteer programs of their choice.

      Fundraising

      Our major annual fundraiser is Foundation Day, whereby each of our nine offices donates the professional fee from one of their auctions to their chosen local charity. This fundraiser alone has generated in the vicinity of $800,000 since its inception in 2007. In addition to Foundation Day, The Charitable Foundation has raised and distributed a further $200,000 through ongoing funds as a generated fixed dollar amount from each Nelson Alexander sale.

      Industry recognition

      The Foundation has won numerous awards – including the 2012, 2009, 2008 and 2007 Real Estate Institute of Victoria Community Service Award along with being recognised nationally in the same category by the Real Estate Institute of Australia in 2010 and 2008.
