Owners Notes

When we first arrived at 19 Sussex Street after years of apartment living through Carlton and Brunswick we were taken aback at not knowing how much Moonee Ponds has on offer.

Aside from the amazing houses, gardens and greenery we were thrilled with the community feel and in particular our wonderful neighbours. Living here since 2011, we are still considered the newbies as most residents have lived in the street anywhere from 11 to 40 years, which is testament to the location.

Convenience and lifestyle are key features. Being only 15 minutes’ train ride into the city for work you can take a short walk to the station each morning or take the bus at the end of the street that comes every 10 minutes during peak hours. This bus is also very handy if you return from Puckle Street shops with a few extra shopping bags.

We also enjoy walking to the shops and cafes at Union Road Ascot Vale.

With 2 small children, we feel very lucky to have Queens Park and the Maribyrnong river so close. We spend most of our time down at the river and parks, running or cycling the trails as well as kayaking.

The first improvements we made to the property was to re-plaster the dining room and entrance and to seal the room which has made the house warm and cosy in winter and cool in the summer heat.

In 2014 we modernised the bathroom and vanity to make the space more functional and bright. We also put in an entertaining deck in the garden and planted a few extra maple trees to add to the existing foliage which will grow to offer more shade and privacy in the years to come.

We hope you enjoy 19 Sussex street as much as we have. Great neighbours, great location, great home.

Vendor Review

19 Sussex Street Moonee Ponds

Having bought our property 5 years ago from agent Paul Harrison, we knew our best chance of a good sales outcome was to request his services. Our experience as a seller only reinforced our opinion. Along with the help of his team, we received open, honest and prompt feedback. We genuinely believe Paul and his team did a great job. We'd recommend the team for any potential seller.
