What we love about our home:

We built the house in 1980, added an extension in 1990 and renovated in 2012. It has been a great family home where we raised our 3 children. The house is open with plenty of natural light. Through the use of natural materials, the house has a warm and cosy feel to it. The floor plan, with its distinct zones, is practical and works extremely well. We love the wonderful garden setting and its two outdoor entertaining areas which are fantastic places just to relax in a peaceful, tranquil setting or for holding wonderful celebratory events for the extended family.

What we love about the suburb:

Heidelberg is a vibrant suburb with good restaurants and cafes. There is a warm and friendly community around us. It is close to excellent schools and is very well serviced by public transport. And of course, there are world class medical facilities located right here. Shops, railway station and hospitals are all within walking distance. There are great parks to enjoy along the nearby Yarra River. It is a great location in which to raise a family.

Why we are selling:

We are selling because it is time to downsize. Children are living independent lives and so we no longer need a family home in Melbourne. Selling also means that we will be free to spend significant periods of time at our recently acquired coastal home without needing to worry about such things as garden maintenance etc.

We love this area and will be retaining a Melbourne base in this area.
