What we love about this home:

When we first saw this house, we were not sure that it was what we were after. It looked small from the outside and we were looking for something larger. What an incredible surprise we received upon entering the home; it’s very deceiving from the outside, as it is open, spacious and large once you step inside. As soon as we walked in, I knew I wanted us to live at 1/2 Home Street.

The home has a very relaxing and calming feel about it. Many people comment on the ambience of our home. It’s peaceful, serene and quiet, yet great for entertaining. The decking is a lovely area to put your feet up, have a coffee and enjoy the garden. While at the same time, it’s a terrific space to unwind with family and friends for a barbeque or brunch.

We love the chance to work from home, using the second front entrance, which allows clients to come and go without stepping into our private area. We found that the house met all of our needs and wants, with off street parking and remote-control entry, evaporative cooling, ducted heating, a walk-in pantry…. the list goes on.

What we love about this suburb:

We love being so close to the city. Home Street runs parallel to Plenty Road and is also very close to High Street. We can catch a tram outside our door, the buses are frequent and Regent station is not far away.

The Oakhill Estate is a quiet area of Melbourne with shops and other facilities close by. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy and these amenities are further developing in our area each year. Close by is Preston Market which is a wonderful place for your weekly shop.

Our home is close to some great Primary and Secondary schools and La Trobe University is a quick tram or car ride from Home Street.

Why we are selling:

We are retiring to another state in Australia, but if we could take our home with us, we certainly would! We have been very happy here.
