What we love about this home:
The inspiration behind the design of our home was centered on being able to bring people together to share a meal, conversation and laughter. The spacious open plan kitchen, living and meals area has always made entertaining friends and family a breeze and once lit, the log fireplace creates the perfect place to cozy up against during the cooler winter months.
When the weather warms up, the entertaining easily continued outdoors with an undercover seating area, kitchen, woodfire pizza oven and bbq facilities provided. The outdoor entertaining area is surrounded by a beautiful and spacious backyard that provides ample space for guests to wander around and enjoy the scent of roses, play sporting games or sit under one of the 12 established fruit trees and indulge on some freshly picked organic fruit including figs, peaches, apricots and persimmons.
The north facing backyard has meant that fruits, vegetables and flowers have always been able to flourish no matter what the time of year and taking care of the garden has always been made easy with the electronic watering system and rain water tank.
The home is not only for entertaining though, with ample space downstairs to accommodate the ideal workspace for the handyman or woman!
The home has been constructed beautifully and was built to last many lifetimes.
What we love about this suburb:
We love that the suburb has always remained tranquil and safe, with many key facilities being in walking distance from the house. A primary school, high school, local shops, and bus stop are just steps away from the front door.
We have been spoilt for choice in our neighbourhood when it comes to open space areas, with Edwardes Lake, L.E Cotchin Reserve, and the newly announced Wilson Boulevard all within walking distance. There are very few suburbs that have such an extensive choice of public open space areas available to them which makes this suburb lovely for raising a family. The closest bus stop provides a connecting service to Reservoir Train Station that made venturing out without a car never an issue. The Edgar’s Creek and Merry Creek bicycle trail are also located within close proximity to the home which brought us great adventures over the years.
Why we are selling:
After our children moved out last year we realised that our home has become too big for us and we are looking to downsize.
