Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

There is so much we love about this house; its spacious rooms, its privacy and the feeling of warmth throughout. Even my grand piano doesn’t make the lounge room feel small. We love the fact that the unassuming front of the house surprises all who enter when the depth and size of the place is revealed.

Probably what we will miss the most is the back garden, a tropical oasis – green from top to bottom, with its winding river, the day bed and our outdoor dining area. We love the private laneway entrance to the carport which fits up to three cars – handy for visitors. The workshop has been a place of great activity and creativity over the years, also a convenient storage area.

Proximity to the city is fantastic with train stations two minutes away and a tram/bus hub at the doorstep.

What we love about this suburb:

Fitzroy North is a quiet pocket of the inner city, yet just minutes away from the city life. There are gardens all around the area – great for walking or cycling and no shortage of cafes and restaurants to enjoy, all within a minute’s walking distance.

Why we are selling:

The time has come for us to downsize. We just don’t need four bedrooms and three living areas anymore.

Any other information:

This house is unique and we think anyone who chooses to make it their home will be very happy indeed.

Vendor Review

Janine Ballantyne of Nelson Alexander…

Janine Ballantyne of Nelson Alexander has been an amazing real estate agent - professional and wise, yet friendly and down to earth. From the start of the campaign she provided me with accurate information about the process and procedures and constantly kept me updated with information. She totally understood the impact of all the changes and the stress of house inspections, and helped make the challenges easier. Janine was always approachable and willing to guide and give constructive advice when asked. Janine and expert auctioneer, Tom Roberts, ran the auction on 3rd March 2018 with a very successful result. Ultimately, the experience of selling my home, which could have been highly stressful and emotional, was made so much easier and happier due to the care, understanding and professionalism of Janine Ballantyne.
