With its intelligent design, quality inclusions and sensational living/entertaining spaces inside and out, this distinctive townhouse delivers an outstanding low-maintenance lifestyle complemented by its sought-after south-of-Bell Street location. Bathed in natural light, the home's feature-packed interior boasts two double bedrooms (BIRs), stylish central bathroom and two separate WCs (one on each level). Add to this an expansive open-plan living/dining area accompanied by a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances and ample cupboard space. Other highlights include ducted heating and evaporative cooling, polished hardwood floors, full-size laundry and internally-accessed garage (remote-controlled). Step outside to discover a fabulously large al-fresco entertaining area and equally-impressive garden complete with high fences for added privacy. Quiet and convenient, it's walking distance to local parks and Preston South Primary School, Victoria Street buses and Plenty Road trams, as well as easy access to popular shopping centres, High Street cafes and Preston Market.

Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

The bright and airy open plan living area with the northern sun was what first attracted us to the property. The combined living, dining and kitchen space has been perfect for entertaining and relaxed weekends. As keen cooks, the island bench and extensive kitchen storage has been extremely useful.

The large outdoor area has provided the perfect setting both as a family and for entertaining. With significant space undercover and a north-facing private garden, it has been the perfect property for family birthdays, playing with our dog, or a quiet wine and dinner at sunset. We have invested time and care into enhancing the established garden with the addition of vines and climbing flowers.

The house has all the practical things we needed in a first home – two generous bedrooms with built in robes, central heating and aircon, a proper laundry, garage, and security system.

What we love about this suburb:

Preston has changed so much since we have lived here and shows no signs of slowing down. It feels like every month there is something new opening up nearby. With Plenty Road only a short 10-minute walk away, we’ve had easy access to bars, cafes and restaurants, most dog and child-friendly. The variety is extensive, with Boundary Espresso, Tallboy and Moose brewery and the Raccoon Club local favourites.

We’ve enjoyed quick access into the city where we both work, and multiple transport options to get around – bus, tram and train are all within walking distance and there is a safe bike route along St Georges Road into the city.

It’s an easy walk to one of the best parks in Preston, TA Cochrane Reserve. Each morning and evening the park is full of locals running their dogs, and on the weekends, there are plenty of young families on the playground.

The Preston Market is also close by, and it’s only a short drive to Northland Shopping Centre for the weekend grocery shop.

Why we are selling:

We are staying within Preston since we love the area so much. We have bought a larger home for our growing family.
