Owners Notes

What we love about this home:
I purchased this property 10 years ago as a place for my parents to live in the latter part of their life. Both of them loved this property, as it was smaller than the large country property, they had previously lived in. My mother in particular enjoyed the garden very much. The weeping cherry on the back deck was her pride and joy. We considered it was a great location for them as it is close to transport, the Gilbert Rd shops and the Preston market, which they frequented on a weekly basis. My mother walked daily to the corner to get the paper and enjoy a coffee. The house was very accessible for my father who was less able to get around in his final years. My parents loved the art deco elements of the house, which was built around 1928. They loved the openness of the back areas including the deck where they spent a lot of time together. The deck enjoys considerable natural light opening onto the north facing rear garden. My parents found the neighbourhood very friendly. I researched the property extensively when I purchased it and have available to any purchaser some historical documents that might be of interest and am happy to make them available.

What we love about this suburb:
Preston was a great place to live for my parents. The suburb has many immediate amenities and CBD is within easy reach. The Preston Market, High Street shopping area, parks and cafes all make this a great area. The tram into the city is in very close walking distance and the train is very accessible.

Why I am selling:
I bought this property for my parents and I no longer have a need for it.
