Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

We love our home so much.  It is like a little oasis in an inner-city environment. We have loved the big rooms and the large garden that is soaked in the afternoon sun. It is a great place for entertaining guests and we love the indoor-outdoor space. We love that we can be together as a family but also all have our own space. We love that it respects the past and has that beautiful heritage feel but is also functional and modern.

What we love about this suburb:

We love that we are so close to so many parks and green spaces: Fleming Park, Kirkdale Park, Jones Park, and Methven Park. We have 5 amazing cafes within walking distance: Milkwood, New day rising, Ten tables, East elevation, Awkward Mike’s! And great restaurants and bars. We love being a 20 minute tram ride away from the City but still able to enjoy CERES and Merri Creek less than a 5 minute walk away. Quick walk to kinder, primary, and high school.

Why we are selling:

We are staying within the area however need an extra bedroom for family from overseas to stay and help us with the kids.

Any other information:

We have cherished this house for years and we hope someone will love it as much as we have. Some of the key features of the house:

  • 5kW premium SMA solar system, we haven’t paid an electricity bill since we installed it
  • 6kW Tesla Electric Vehicle charger for convenient home charging of your vehicle from solar energy, it’s the future!
  • NBN fibre to the home, giving 100Mbps data through the house
  • Gas ducted heating for winter and Aircon for summer when you need it
  • Efficient instantaneous gas hot water system

Vendor Review

Above and beyond

I initially had reservations about using Nelson Alexander due to bad previous experiences with the Brunswick branch but I remembered Janine (Carlton) from an open home we had attended a few years back so I gave her call. She absolutely exceeded my expectations. She’s very friendly, trust worthy and a delight to work with but she is also on the ball. She knows exactly how to sell a house! She had great advice, she was realistic, practical and ready to go above and beyond. She is a true star. The unexpected thing was our kids absolutely fell in love with her and we are going to miss seeing her a couple of times a week! If you want to sell your house in the inner north, I highly recommend Janine Ballantyne.
