A Glorious Past with Bright (North-facing) Future
Traditional zoned living highlights a sparkling kitchen / meals area that is fine for today but with scope for renewal and a semi-attached living room that is accessed via original etched glass doors. A wonderful sunroom at the rear of the home overlooks a deep and tranquil backyard that is shaded from its delightful northerly sun by beautiful established trees, all the while pointing towards the opportunity to create a most alluring al fresco flow.
The bedrooms are each well removed from the living areas, impressively sized and one is fitted with substantial built in robes. The bedrooms are conveniently adjacent to a central bathroom with independent bath and shower as well as a second wc.
Wonderfully practical, the home offers terrific cupboard storage, a large lock-up garage with extra storage / workshop space, plus driveway parking for another 3 vehicles, ducted heating, split system cooling and a large laundry.
This peaceful, family-friendly setting is just moments from a number of pretty parks, Edwardes St shopping and cafe scene, city-bound trains from Ruthven Railway Station and fine local schools.
Owners Notes
What we love about this home:
41 Darebin Boulevard has been our family residence since it was built in 1961. It has always been loved, cared for and well maintained. The home has given us many happy memories. Family and friends gathering for the many BBQ’s under the large Golden Ash.
Due to the large allotment there is room for extension to the home. Alternatively, the backyard is large enough to even to have a kick of the footy.
The large windows let in plenty of sunshine and natural light and warmth hence reducing heating costs substantially. All windows are fitted with external shutters for security and temperature insulation.
Gas ducted heating fitted to every room and reverse cycle split air conditioner in the lounge/dining room which filtrates throughout the house. Genuine hardwood floorboards throughout the house.
What we love about this suburb:
Reservoir has been a great suburb to live. Walking distance from the home, to schools, children playgrounds, kindergarten, local shops and buses. The main Reservoir shopping centre is only five minutes’ drive away, (Edward St, Spring St and The Broadway) comprising of varied shops, café’s, ‘banks, a Private hospital, medical rooms and varied businesses, with many more currently in construction. Northland Shopping Centre and University Hill DFO a short 10 to 15 minutes drive away. And the city only 25 minutes away.
The new above ground railway extension is also under construction, due for completion end of 2019-early 2020.
Why we are selling:
It is now time for a new family to love and enjoy this home and area!
