What we love about this home:
This home had all the things we wanted most on our wish list, a beautiful tree lined street, a house with plenty of potential and close proximity to our work and the CBD. It just sort of felt straight away like it was a home.
It was a bit daggy at first but we saw that the interior had potential and could be easily transformed. We reconfigured the floorplan to be more functional, adding a new kitchen, two bathrooms, a laundry, built-in robes and glass doors in the living space leading out to the deck and back yard.
Opening up the main living and dining area allowed us to invite all our family and friends over for lots of dinner parties and celebrations over the years.
For us and the kids, this vibrant, personality-filled home was everything we needed. It is a very serene home, filled with pops of personality and lots of light. We are still thrilled to walk in the front door each day after work and love the bright open calmness of our family home.
What we love about this suburb:
Apart from the easy access to public transport, most things are within a 15 minute drive. I work in Fitzroy and the close proximity to the office is perfect. I also love all the new and established eateries in the area, my favourites are ChuManChu, Takeaway Pizza, Umbertos and Benzina.
Also, really convenient and close-by is the Preston Market where I buy all my fresh produce in the one place and allow myself a cheeky hot donut every Saturday.
Why we are selling:
We have a farm in the Macedon Ranges and have decided to expand our poultry business.
