Ten km to the north of Melbourne’s CBD, Coburg North is zoned residential, though there are some industrial precincts.
There are more green leafy areas than you’d expect so close to the city, and there is a genuine friendly family ambience. Many areas have elevated views of the city. Housing is mostly stand-alone dwellings with some duplexes. The suburb is seeing a marked increase in property demand. Trams travel along Sydney Rd shopping strip, buses take you to Northland Shopping Centre, cyclists can access the Upfield Bike Path and the Merri Creek Trail and there are nearby train stations.
