As a family we have loved living at 460 Rathdowne Street for the past 15 years.

Our 3 children have all grown from babies to adulthood in this house.

Our home has always had a great sense of warmth to it. During our time living here, we have made many lifelong friendships within the local community.

North Carlton offers a genuine village atmosphere within minutes of the city;

So many land marks are within easy walking distance; Princes Park, Edinburgh Gardens, Melbourne Museum and the Vic Market just to name a few.

The neighbourhood also offers many culinary delights to discover; After work drinks at Gerald’s Bar, many cafes to choose from only meters away from our door. Dinner at La Luna or Paris Go. Pizza or pasta at DOC, bread from D. Chirico.

The best part for us was relaxing on the front porch on a Friday evening watching the world go by with a cocktail, more often than not there would be ‘pop ins’ for a drink just strolling by or on long summer night having a swim and cooking up some pizzas on the rear terrace.

460 Rathdowne St has truly been a home to us, our family, our friends and much of the local community along the way.

We are sad to be saying goodbye, but the time has come as our children are starting to move away.

We only hope 460 Rathdowne Street can become a warm family home for another family the same as it has been for us.
