Owners Notes

We arrived in Clive Street with just one toddler ten years ago – now we are a family of five.  We have found the house terrific for young children.   The backyard has plenty of space for entertaining and outdoor play (playing in the garden and with the sprinkler on the trampoline are favourites).  The large kitchen is a pleasure to work in and allows discrete supervision of garden activities.

Just as importantly, the front of the house can be completely separated from the back, allowing peace and quiet for those who need it.  The front rooms get beautiful light in the afternoons and are a great place to retreat from family life.

Clive Street is quiet and safe with great neighbours.  Many people travel on foot or by bike.  We are always bumping into friends on local outings.

Our kids attended Yarralea Kindergarten (with a terrific bush kinder program) and Alphington Primary School.  We often walk to Darebin Parklands, local playgrounds and the Station Street shops.  On the weekends we often ride along the Yarra trail to Collingwood Children’s Farm or Heide Gallery for coffee or breakfast.  Best of all we like our “local shops” Johnny F’s Fruit Shop is an Alphington institution and My Little Brother’s Food Store opened last year and serves great coffee.

Express trains from Alphington to Flinders Street take about 15 minutes (on weekends we drive to Clifton Hill station – for frequent service).  We enjoy great access to the Eastern Freeway and can be on the Mornington Peninsula beaches within an hour.

Now that the children are growing up we are looking to relocate locally. We trust the new owners will enjoy this home as much as we have.
