WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THE HOUSE

From the first time we saw 49 York Ave, we loved the modern contempory design, and its tranquil low maintenance gardens.

Since then we have loved being awakened by birdsong and seeing the colourful lorikeets feeding on the lawn and front gums.

It has been a joy seeing our children and grandchildren playing in the rear yard and on the swings and play gym.  It has the luxury of a heated indoor pool, which we use 365 days a year, regardless of the weather.

We have fond memories of the many large gatherings and occasions we shared with family and friends in both our formal and informal entertaining areas, the large kitchen making it easy for everyone.

It was always a pleasure to retire to our vast master bedroom of an evening and awaken to its bright south-easterly aspect of a morning and have a coffee on the balcony overlooking Wamba Park.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT EAST IVANHOE

We first moved into East Ivanhoe in 1974 and 49 York Ave is the third home we have lived in, all within a short stroll of the East Ivanhoe village.

For us there was no better area to raise a family. It is close to some of the best schools in Melbourne, has peaceful tree -lined streets with neighbours that have always been friendly and caring.

East Ivanhoe village has a wide variety of shops which cater to all our needs including an abundance of choice when we feel like a coffee.

York Avenue is so centrally located that it is also only a short stroll to Eaglemont village or a little further to Ivanhoe.

WHY WE ‘RE SELLING

The time has now come for us to scale down and we are moving into a smaller home, still within East Ivanhoe.
