What we love about this home:

We have enjoyed beautiful sunsets, the views from the living area and we have tried to maximize these views. The renovations to the kitchen, laundry and bathroom areas mean these are all highly functional and we will miss these! The backyard is sheltered from the wind and the grape vine provides shade in summer and lets the sun through in winter. It is a pinot noir variety and fruited profusely that we made our own batch of wine last summer.

The house has lots of storage (attic, laundry and the two larger bedrooms) and then of course the shed as well. We have recently had it painted in a modern color scheme Camelia’s have been planted along the front fence to provide lots of blooms through Autumn & Winter. Roses come to life in Spring and then the Hydrangeas do their thing, while the lavender just keeps flowering almost all the time. The passionfruit vine also fruits abundantly. The neighbors are all friendly and pleasant, the type we hope to find for our next abode.

The house is lightfilled from morning till night and fitted with sun blinds for hot summer days.
We have enjoyed open fires in the fireplace, even toasting marshmallows and Santa of course wiggles his way down each Christmas to the children’s delight.
Occasionally we see hot air balloons coming up over the top of the houses from the front bedroom and living room area. Recently we have come to realize how enviably positioned this house is being so close to Rosanna Golf Links Primary which seems to be highly regarded in the local community and it is only going to get better as they are currently upgrading ($5.6m project).

As we write this we joke to ourselves wondering if we really should be moving after all? There is a lot to live in this home and it will be hard to leave, but we will have lots of fond memories and a bigger home to look forward to.

What we love about Rosanna:

It is lovely and leafy with lots of green space to walk or play in. In addition it is well serviced by trains (30 mins to city) and buses. The library is excellent and there are lots of families in the area and lots of good schools too. We have enjoyed being close to the good cafes in Ivanhoe, Heidelberg and Rosanna, while still being in close proximity to Diamond Valley Miniature Railway, Montsalvat and Edendale Farm. The area is great for walks along parklands that are well spotted with playgrounds and park benches, ie. Salt River along the Golf links Estate.

Why we are selling:

We have three young children and have outgrown this lovely home. We have purchased a larger house which is closer to friends and family.

Any other information:

The carport has a nice tiled roof to keep cars out of the rain.
The front yard is fully fenced with gates for safety and privacy.
