Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

We have enjoyed living in this family home for 14 years after moving off the land with our two daughters.  It’s a large town house which has suited our enjoyment of sharing meals with family and friends around our dinner table.  There’s plenty of room for entertaining as well as separate spaces to suit individual needs. The French doors in the main living area provide a view to the ever-changing Liquid Amber trees over the road and the historic clock on the old Head Office of the MacRobertson’s factory which has kept the family punctual.

We especially love the inside-outside roof area.  It provides an inspiring outlook to the city to enjoy an end-of-day glass of wine.  Our roof garden kept us in pesto all year round.  We even made marmalade with the cumquats! The sunroom is cosy in winter and our orchids flourished here.

What we love about this suburb:

This is a brilliant place to live if you like a vibrant and diverse community.

Most of the neighbors have lived here for years and are very neighborly.  We really all care about and for the street.

We love the short walk to Brunswick or Smith Streets for a wide choice of eating houses and interesting shops.  We are spoilt for choice when it comes to cultural nourishment – a great music scene as well as galleries and performance.

The University and Carlton are only 5 blocks walk.  The Edinburgh, Treasury or Carlton gardens were frequent destinations for dog walks and picnics with family and friends. The city is only 15 minutes away via tram – good for getting there and for getting home!

Why we are selling:

Our children have now grown up and we are moving to the coast.

Vendor Review

Highly recommended

From the time of first meeting at our Fitzroy apartment to the conclusion of a most successful auction, Marek and the team at Nelson Alexander have provided prompt advice and excellent attention to detail in managing the process of preparing and selling the property. Marek's advice on how best to present the apartment, timing, advertising and who could help with painting and other services, has all been extremely useful and effective. He has clearly developed a reliable team of quality people to support the preparation and selling process. Marek has a delightful balance of: warmth, attentiveness and business focus. We would recommend his approach for anyone who is looking for a good sales experience and the best outcome from their sale.
