Owners Notes
What we love about this home:
My husband purchased the land in 1956 and designed the house so it has always been very special to us. We raised two girls who will tell you how much they loved growing up here, with a spacious front and back for wheeled toys and imaginative play. Now our grandchildren love coming here.
We built the garden from scratch and many walking past admire the silky oak and jacaranda when in flower. We love the tranquility of the back garden which has seen many happy family and other gatherings. It’s a homely house, when after being away we always love coming home too.
What we love about this suburb:
Fairy Hills is a quiet much sort after corner in Ivanhoe. It is a friendly neighborhood with walking and bike paths, shady trees and recreation facilities. Just a short walk to Darebin Station, Ivanhoe Grammar School and Fairy Hills Kindergarten.
Only 10km from the CBD Ivanhoe is close to everything. Easy access to RMIT, Melbourne and La Trobe Universities. It boasts good schools, both primary and secondary. No need to travel far for a good education.
A relaxing walk can be had through Ivanhoe Village with its variety of eating places and convenient shopping. Northland Shopping Centre is only a short car ride away.
Why we are selling:
It is now time to say goodbye to this home we have loved so much. My husband, sadly, has passed away and my girls are all married. Now it is too big for one person to look after. Hopefully someone will love it as much as we have.
