The things we love about the apartment:

  • The light; The most amazing thing about living in this spacious apartment – it is such a happy place to come home to. The lounge and both bedrooms face north enjoying beautiful light all day, and the kitchen window faces east, where you can watch sunrise in the mornings over the rooftops of North Carlton. It is unique to have this much light living so close to the inner city.
  • The treetops; Being on the top floor feels like living amongst the treetops. The trees outside the bedrooms are Jacarandas and have beautiful purple flowers in the Spring. The tree to the east fills the kitchen with lush shady green all Summer, bright yellow through Autumn and its bare branches in Winter give uninterrupted views to Mt Dandenong, you really feel the seasons through this window.
  • The location; This is such a lovely spot to live – you can walk everywhere. Pop around the corner for good coffee, a meal or a wine at Gerald’s Bar. Grocery shopping – there is milk bar, bakery, butcher, chemist, deli and green grocer around the corner or a choice of supermarkets a short drive away. Cinema Nova and Lygon St is a short walk away. Curtain Square and Princes Park for a run or a picnic on a sunny day. Drummond St is also a lovely wide street and the median strip is a popular place to lie in the sun.
  • The neighbours; There is a high proportion of owner occupiers in the block which means maintenance is a high priority, it also means there is a real sense of community. Our neighbours have become great friends, been great cat sitters, plant waterers and key minders.
  • The quiet; These older style apartments are spacious, solid brick and are very sound proof, and being on the top floor means no noise from above.

We have loved every minute of living in Apartment 17 and are very sad to be leaving. We are sure the next owner will love it as much as we have.

One other note: The exterior of the apartment blocks is about to be painted and this levy has been raised and paid for. The block will look wonderful with a fresh new coat of paint and the signage repaired.
