Owners Notes

What we like about this house:

When we built the house, we put a lot of time and effort into choosing a design which suited our young growing family, while taking advantage of our north facing rear. We didn’t scrimp on the extras such as double glazing, Colorbond roof, evaporative cooling, full render etc. We have been so happy with the design and quality of the resulting home for the past 9 years!

The layout with the close by but separate kids’ zone has been fantastic, especially when our children were little. Our favourite part of the home is the spacious and bright open living area opening up to the deck and garden. It has such a lovely feel to it and has been great for entertaining. We love having the option of closing the awning on a cooler day and letting more sun into the house. The theatre/living room has been fabulous for family movie nights and kids’ sleepovers.

The home is extremely comfortable, low maintenance and in excellent condition. It has every convenience we need, and is also very energy efficient and easy to keep at a good temperature.

What we like about the area:

We have greatly enjoyed the various parks and walking/bike trails that are so close by. Ivanhoe Shopping Village and Primary School are both excellent and a 15-minute walk away. St B’s is also very well regarded and popular with local families. In the car, Station St, High St and Northland are all about 5 minutes away. Our kids enjoy playing netball and footy at West Ivanhoe Sporting Club around the corner at Seddon Reserve, and we are all members at St James Tennis Club. This pocket of Ivanhoe has many young families and a great community feel.

Why we are selling:

There are now 6 of us living here including 1 adult child and 1 grandparent. We are moving to an even larger home on a bigger block with room for separate self-contained accommodation. We will be staying in the Ivanhoe area as we are very happy and settled here.
