Owners Notes

We have been lucky enough to live in this beautiful home since our eldest child turned one – he is now 13, and our two girls are 10 and 6! One of the biggest assets we never expected when moving in was having the Primary School across the road. Princes Hill Primary School has provided a positive experience for our children, and we have enjoyed the community life and made lifelong friendships.  It also offers a huge space and playground for our children to enjoy all year round.

There has been plenty of space for our family to grow and, having two living spaces allows us to spread out (the front room in winter with the fireplace is so peaceful!) and the study is another option to get away too. We spend a lot of family time together in the open living area which is full of natural light. Our backyard is great to entertain friends and we have the rare inner city advantage of having off street parking (although street parking has never been a problem in this quiet pocket).

We are surrounded by parkland (Princes Park and Royal Park), bike tracks at the end of the street, and plenty of playgrounds including Curtain Square – a great place to grab a coffee and catch up with friends – the library is also across the road!

Rathdowne Village caters for all our needs, in a beautiful tree-lined strip – this is our local go-to but there are many other options.  Just around the corner is the vibe of Brunswick  which keeps getting better all the time with new restaurants, bakeries and cafes opening, or you can jump on a tram and within 5 minutes be up enjoying Lygon Street.  For everyday shopping, you can easily pop around to Barkly Square.

Living in this unique location has the huge benefit of being so close to the city for work.  We have also enjoyed going to the ballet, the NGV, Melbourne museum and footy at the MCG. Being able to leave the car at home and either walk or jump on a tram to get around makes it so easy.  And we’re sure there are plenty more places you’ll be able discover with this as your base!
