1. What we love about this home:

This has been our much loved family home for almost 30 years. Facing north / south on the sheltered, high side of the street and with high ceilings and loads of natural light, our home is a safe, warm and inviting place to be. Many people comment on the sense of harmony and tranquility that is created by the seamless flow and layout and it has been a charming place for family and community gatherings.

It is a true exemplar of Triple Front architecture blended with a contemporary modern feel. An iconic external staircase has featured in several ad campaigns. At the front door and from the front rooms there are long, undulating views over East Ivanhoe and Kew. Through each window at the back, we are immersed in garden views while our master bedroom retreat is wrapped around a beautiful Golden Ash tree. A favourite spot to sit is at the dining room table with views to both the front and back gardens.

As a family, the location has been perfect – it’s an easy walk to our local kindergarten, primary schools, local shops and bus stops. We have wonderful neighbours and share a “neighbours gate”.

2. What we love about this suburb:
We love the leafy and abundant big, green spaces of Chelsworth Park, the public golf course, Ivanhoe Park and the natural beauty and stunning birdlife and flora of the Yarra River and the 21ha Wilson Reserve. There are many local sporting clubs and the Ivanhoe Sea Scouts are close by.

The local streets are wide and parking is easy. Close by are walking, running, road bike and mountain biking trails. On Tuesday evenings, local cyclists don their head lights and traverse the Yarra River trails.

We are at the heart of an excellent school zone – both public and private. Ivanhoe East is very much focused on Community and family and supports a local
