Owners Notes
What we love about this home:
We bought this home together around 17/18 years ago, pre-marriage and children. We loved the traditional feel of the home as well as the history of these Terrace houses. We extended the house about 12 years ago before we had children. Whilst living in this home we got married, had 3 children and had a dog join our crew; we’ve grown as a family in this home. We’ve loved the large bedrooms and the oodles of storage in the house. The house has been loved and cared for and has seen many a celebration with family and friends. We created our family home.
The kids have enjoyed our letterbox window display, showing their creative flair with their designs. The quiet street has been wonderful, the kids often chalk draw on the footpath, play hop scotch, and ride their bikes/scooters between the corners. It’s always been easy to park on the street and we’ve been lucky to live with such a leafy streetscape. We walk most places; Darling Gardens, Quarries Park and Edinburgh Gardens, Victoria Park, the Yarra River, Fairfield or Yarra Bend Boat houses, Smith St and Brunswick St. We also ride along the many bike paths or ride/walk to work in the CBD. We love the close proximity to public transport, the MCG and restaurants/cafes. It’s a great home and will be missed.
What we love about this suburb:
Collingwood is eclectic and unique. A mix of old and new. Fantastic café’s, restaurants, entertainment and interesting shops. So close to a multitude of parks & gardens as well as the Yarra River. Smith St offers Coles and Woolies and plenty of alternative options for grocery shopping. The neighbourhood is friendly and inviting, full of interesting people. There are great schools close by, as well as kinder and childcare options. A great environment to live and enjoy what Melbourne has to offer.
Why we are selling:
We’re selling to move closer to our children’s schools. It has been a tough decision and the children are devastated about moving and selling.
