Owners Notes

What I love about this home:

  • I purchased the property 8 and a half years ago. Being an outdoorsy person, I loved the proximity to so much parkland. I imaged staying here forever however the arrival of 2 grandbabies (and another 3 on the way) have prompted me to reassess toward a sea-change and closer proximity to family in Geelong.
  • The house has oodles of natural light with its large windows and outlook onto front and rear gardens. From the main area of the house you can see “greenery” in both directions. Opening the front blinds to see roses poking their heads in the front windows and the combination of green and reds from the back-deck area with bamboo and Japanese Maples.  The remaining courtyard area is ready for the next owner.
  • Being set into the side of a hill the home has a large cavity underneath which gives the home a feeling of being dry … no damp at all.
  • The ducted heating warms the whole house so I am very snug in winter.
  • There is something quite lovely about living on timber floors especially in warmer months when I take my shoes off and enjoy the cool timber under-foot.
  • It was a bonus to have a 3rd bedroom and lock up garage.

What I love about this suburb:

I love coming home … driving down the hill and looking across to Bundoora parklands.  My dog recently passed away, however I have many fond memories of exploring the incredible bush and parklands just at the end of the street.

I love my neighbours who I am going to find very difficult to leave.  I’m sure I will stay in touch with them though.  I broke my arm recently and the lady across the road cooked for me.

Until last year I was commuting to Docklands.  We are surprisingly close to the city, 35 minutes by train from Reservoir.  We are also close to social hot-spots Northcote and Thornbury.  We are also close to La Trobe Uni, Northland and some fabulous ‘untouched’ shopping strips in Lalor.

Why am I selling:

Most of my family have relocated to the Geelong/Bellarine Peninsula area.  I am selling so I can spend more time with my grandbabies (I currently have 2 and have 3 on the way including twins).

Vendor Review

Michelle Portelli was an absolute…

Michelle Portelli was an absolute pleasure to deal with and really made the effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted. Michelle, and indeed everyone we came across at Nelson Alexander, were totally professional ... nothing was too much trouble. We were delighted with how everything went and would be very happy to deal with Michelle again in the future.
