Owners Notes

We have very much enjoyed living in our lovely cosy house for the last 17 years, but the time has come for a change so it’s time for us to move on.

When we first acquired Thomson Street, the front room was in use as a fashion accessories designer workshop. We spent much time, effort and love turning this space into the amazing second living area it is today.

This is not your standard modern house, it retains some of the original features. We love the wood panelling and pressed metal ceiling which gives the house a cottage like feel. The back area is perfect for a sunny morning, reading in the afternoon or just enjoying the surrounding greenery, while the second living area at the front means that there is plenty of room in the house for people to do their own thing.

The neighbourhood is amazing! We are only minutes from the city, but once you turn into Thomson Street you would never know it. There have been very few houses sold in our street since we have been there which is a testament to what a lovely part of Westgarth it is.

Train stations are only a few minutes’ walk in either direction, and you are spoilt for choice for local dining and shopping with Station Street only a 5 minute walk away with a multitude of cafes & restaurants to choose from.  We even have a quiet little coffee shop a few doors up for that weekend morning coffee! Studley Park and the Fairfield Boathouse are close by and there is also a local reserve just a minutes’ walk away secluded amongst houses with a playground for the kids and BBQ facilities.

We are sad to be leaving the area and we will miss this part of the world.
