What we love about this home:
We purchased this property off the plan and moved in December 2016 the same year. We have absolutely loved the open plan downstairs, and having the bedrooms upstairs. We have loved spending warm summer nights in our courtyard and have enjoyed the security of the high enclosed garden. We love the floor to ceiling sliding doors to the garden, bringing the outside in. Off street parking in the electronic lockable garage has meant we have not had to worry about our car being exposed to the elements.
The wooden flooring downstairs not only looks great, but has been really easy to keep clean. Especially when raising our little puppy.
Although we are 1 townhouse of 15, it has never felt like it. Our neighbours are quiet, and everyone is really friendly. The neighbours across the road work in the local market and often drop fresh produce on our doorstep.
Moving into a stylish newly built home meant every component was brand new, modern looking and needed zero upkeep. Plus, our courtyard needed very little maintenance, and the fully fenced, pet friendly courtyard proved big enough for our puppy; such a dream!
We loved choosing features that make this home something special; the tiffany blue splashback in the kitchen, the good-sized bathtub, dark carpets, mirrored built in floor to ceiling wardrobes in both rooms and wooden flooring gave this home some character.
What we love about this suburb:
Reservoir has been a fantastic place to live, boasting plenty of scenic parks including Crispe Park dog friendly park, modern cafes and restaurants, close proximity to transport and friendly people. Ashley Street is a really quiet street, just minutes from the train station, supermarket, post office, local gyms and more.
Trams, buses and trains are a matter of minutes walking distance, providing easy access to multiple transport options, and the city can be reached by car within 25 minutes. The new Summer Hill Shopping Centre is close,
Many good schools surround the suburb, which is why we still plan to live in Reservoir but intended to look for a bigger home to start our family.
Why we are selling:
Ashley street has been the perfect first home for us. We would have loved to keep it as an investment property, however we saw our perfect home go up for sale just around the corner. When it went on the market, we just had to have it!
Reservoir is a fantastic suburb, with growth and development inevitable, with it’s close proximity to the city whilst still having the family and community fee
