What we love about this home:

We bought this home in 2015 because we were looking for a large block that offers plenty of space for an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Immediately after purchase we painted the walls white, installed new blinds/curtains and a wardrobe in the main bedroom and updated all light fittings and door handles to modernise the interior. We also installed a new dishwasher and oven to enhance the large kitchen area. Over the years we have worked tirelessly in the garden to custom design a garden that is a mixture of hedging and cottage style with an abundance of plants that flower throughout all seasons. Now that the garden is established, very little maintenance is required.

What we love about this suburb:

This pocket of Reservoir has come a long way in a relatively short period. The aesthetic of the streets has been lifted as a result of several knock downs and redevelopments within the immediate area. Whilst the streets are seeing a change in residency, they remain quiet, calm and peaceful.

Locally, new restaurants and bars have opened on the corner of Plenty Rd and Tyler St which puts them within walking distance and Northland now has a wider range of shops than before. There is no longer a need to travel beyond the suburb for shopping.

Commuting to the city has been easy by catching the bus along Tyler St to Regent station or the number 86 tram which also travels through Preston, Thornbury and Northcote. The local park on Albert St is constantly buzzing with football, cricket, dog walkers or families making good use of the playgrounds.
