Stunning family home in an enviable Brunswick locale

Situated in a quiet residential street, this impressive freestanding Victorian residence provides deceptively spacious accommodation over 2 levels with bespoke contemporary interiors and period character combining to offer a classic family lifestyle. It is ideally placed strolling distance to Anstey station, Sydney Road shops and cafes, city trams, local schools and Hope Street Park. Drenched in natural light, the well designed floor plan offers great versatility for growing families and/or busy executives looking for a modern living environment with work from home possibilities. The 1st floor extension provides a plush master domain with king sized bedroom, large walk-in robe, sleek ensuite bathroom including double vanity & shower plus a study area. Downstairs enjoys 2 further bedrooms plus a child's playroom/nursery or home/office, 2nd central bathroom (bath & separate shower) and a separate laundry with external access. At the heart of the home is a gourmet stone kitchen with premium stainless steel gas appliances and a breakfast bar leading to a spacious open plan living and dining area with a slow combustion fireplace and north highlight windows. Beyond bi-fold glass doors is the covered rear deck and large private sun soaked courtyard providing a fabulous indoor/outdoor living and entertaining environment. Other fabulous features include great storage, hydronic heating and refrigerated cooling, an alarm system, great airflow, double glazing, soaring ceilings with rosettes, polished floorboards and more. This warm & inviting home has some much to offer and a wonderful local community to go with it. Nelson Alexander Pty Ltd

Owners Notes

39 Sutherland Street is situated in a lovely quiet street with generous parking, with a strong community feel. The neighbours are extremely friendly and community oriented. The street hosts a number of annual events including trick or treating and a Christmas party. We have a community garden at the end of the street and often keep each other updated via the streets Facebook page moderated by one of the residences.

There are a number of young families whose children attend the local primary school Brunswick North Primary (approx. a 7-minute walk). We have found living in the area extremely enjoyable, with its easy access to public transport (both train and 2 trams) only a short walk away, as well as being walking distance to excellent cafes and coffee hotspots.

The home has been a wonderful home to live in, not only have we enjoyed the open plan living and dining areas, but also the spacious rooms with high ceilings with significant storage. We love the authentic charm and character the original part of the home brings, juxtaposed with the modern kitchen and living areas. The flow from inside to outside is great when the bifolds are open, allowing for a lovely cross breeze and ventilation of the whole house. The hydronic heating keeps the entire home efficiently warm in winter. In the summer months the ducted refrigerated cooling is able to not only keep the entire home cool but do so quickly.

We thoroughly love this home and feel it has so much to offer. We have enjoyed the past 6 years living here and believe you will too.

Vendor Review

Process of selling our house was well…

Process of selling our house was well planned and we were provided with all the information required. Really enjoyed the fact that thought the whole process we were told the reality of the situation and my expectations were correctly managed.
