Owners Notes
We’ve enjoyed almost five years at Unit 3 of 9 Wallace Street, but now we’ve started a family we’ve made the tough decision to move on.
Wallace Street has been prefect for us; just a few minutes’ walk from parks on both Victoria and Albert Streets; fabulous cafés, John Gorilla, on Pearson Street; and the Melville Road tram (route 58).
Having never lived in a townhouse before, we were pleasantly surprised at how functional and easy the ‘reverse living’ layout is. The open plan kitchen/ dining/ living area is lovely and bright, with light pouring in through the balcony doors. The balcony itself is a suntrap and, in the summer months, becomes an extension of the living area. There’s plenty of room for a decent sized barbeque and a table to comfortably fit six people. The high walls ensure privacy, but they don’t obscure the sunsets in the West, or views of the hot air balloons which often sail past in early morning.
The spacious laundry has also been a great bonus for us – we’ve even squeezed a camp bed in there to accommodate visiting family!
The garage comfortably accommodates a car, multiple bikes, heat pump tumble drier, and a great storage system installed last year. The floor was originally bare concrete, but we have since finished it with an epoxy meaning it’s now clear of dust and easy to clean.
Our lovely neighbours and efficient Body Corporate make townhouse living a breeze!
