Owners Notes

It’s been a magical 5 years living at 654 Lygon Street. We wanted to be close to everything but not on top of it, a peaceful neighbourhood with parks and tree lined streets, a sense of community with a village atmosphere, voila!

We often find ourselves exploring by foot, walking into the City or neighbouring suburbs and have loved the convenience of the airport. We have also relished being in close proximity to the eastern freeway and cherish our weekend getaways. Food shopping is an adventure within itself, The Queen Victoria Market, to the gems on Sydney Road, Enoteca Sileno for something special to our local farmers market at the Carlton North Primary School – the options are endless.

We have made regular improvements to the property during our time at 654 and have loved watching the gardens flourish. The passionfruit, prickly pear, loquat and lemon trees produce fruit in abundance, the gorgeous bougainvillea framing the façade flowers year-round and the perfume from the honeysuckle provides the tick that spring has arrived!

Have a Moritz at Gerald’s, roll down the hill to La Luna, enjoy a choc top and an entire cinema to yourself whilst catching a late night film at Cinema Nova, buy too many books at Readings, have a dip at the Carlton pool, walk to the newly renovated King and Godfree, learn Italian at CoAsit, ban yourself from Pidapipo and D.Chirico and promise yourself you will run around Princes Park to work off the delicious food you will find yourself indulging in.
