Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

House is private and quiet, no overlooking by other properties.  We enjoy peace and an oasis of tranquillity within an inner city environment.  It’s like being in the country when sitting in the garden entertaining friends.  Love cooking on our Belling stove with three ovens and enjoy a well equipped kitchen overlooking the courtyard.

House is full of character and has great spaces.

House is cool in summer and the hydronic heating creates a warm and cosy retreat from the world in the cooler months.

What we love about this suburb:

Cecil Street is an exceptional community. We all know each other and look out for one another. We share Christmas parties, local pub dinners. People on hand to help out with dog walking, child care etc. People respect one another’s privacy but we have a lot of interaction with neighbours and feel very safe living here. Be as involved or not as suits you.

Local cafe is a great meeting place. Walk to the city in 15 minutes, 2 minute walk to trams. Great parks, gardens, galleries, bars, eateries, quiz night pubs, yoga, Pilates etc etc….Fitzroy has so much to offer.

Essentially it’s a well-established, diverse and caring community, almost unheard of these days.

Why we are selling:

Reluctantly leaving this beautiful home and community.

We’ve been living between Melbourne and Tasmania for years but now want to live more permanently in Tasmania so we can enjoy nature, have the opportunity to continue more wildlife care and have more animals.
