Owners Notes

We moved into 860 Brunswick Street North as a couple 11 years ago and are now leaving as a family of four.  The neighbourhood is perfect as we are right on the city trail bike path, have extensive local dining options and our weeks always include a few stops at Piedemonte’s our village-like grocer and a park or two.

Summers are often spent in Edinburgh Gardens or in one of the other covered play grounds or parks a few blocks from the house.  Fitzroy North is the epitome of inner city living but retains the element of a small village and community.

There are safe walking and bike paths to schools and we are in between two major tram lines making city trips quite easy.  Plenty of on-street parking makes life easy when you feel like driving or have friends visiting.  Every year, neighbours throw a street party, where the street is blocked off and all the neighbours get together, again this enhances the village feel.  Our street is also one of the liveliest and most fun streets for trick or treating on Halloween often being captured by local news channels.  We have loved living in this house.  We have celebrated and entertained extensively; utilising our courtyard as well as the roof top deck.  The house is quiet, serene, easily maintained and a lovely house we made a home.

Charlie Burnham and the team were absolutely amazing. Sheree took care of admin in the office and Nick who reigned over the auction was also outstanding. We met Charlie at an open inspection about two years before we asked him to sell our house. We did so because he was professional in his follow up, even in the uncertain times when we stuttered stepped into putting our house on the market. When we decided to sell our house, we needed to do it quickly. Within 6 weeks we had the mess of our house cleaned up, packed away, landscaped, cleaned and decorated by the Nelson Alexander's contacts.
