Tranquillity and timeless elegance
Completely rebuilt behind a classic Victorian façade, this elegant terrace is positioned at the end of a secluded cul de sac just around the corner from the Queens Parade shopping strip and tram, and a few minutes' walk to the Edinburgh Gardens. Brilliantly designed to optimize natural light, and distinguished by lofty ceilings and superior inclusions, the residence is set behind a northerly courtyard opening through French doors to a restful living room separated by an Ecosmart fireplace from a dining zone and bespoke kitchen (stone benchtops, Smeg appliances); three large double bedrooms (custom BIRs, one overlooking a landscaped rear courtyard) plus study alcove; stylish bathrooms to both levels (one with walk-in shower), a sun-filled internal courtyard and laundry. Including secure off-street parking from a right-of-way to the rear, this immaculate home with upper-level North Fitzroy views features polished timber floors, split-system air conditioning, ceiling fans, premium fittings and ample storage. Owners Notes
What we love about Fitzroy North
Edinburgh Precinct is in our opinion the best part of Fitzroy North. Our late 1890’s home is surrounded by wide tree lined boulevards, close to Clifton Hill Shops and of course Piedimontes supermarket in Fitzroy North. Cafes are in abundance and Mitte is only 100 metres away, slightly further is Two Bob, Rubber Duck and Mixed Business. All four are local favourites. Dench's bakery is also very close by. Many local pubs, restaurants and of course Brunswick Street are just a short walk.
There is the convenience of inner city living with three tram lines (96,11 and 86) and Rushall Train Station no more than 5 mins walk from our house.
Edinburgh gardens is literally 100 metres down the road. Having such an amazing popular park so close to us has been absolutely wonderful. A dog friendly park that also has two play areas for children. We have spent many a lazy afternoon in the gardens soaking up the beautiful gardens and enjoying the diverse crowd.
What we love about our home
We chose this house because of the amazing location. Our street has a real community feel with neighbours actually saying hello and chatting to each other. The street is very quiet but yet so close to everything Fitzroy North has to offer. Walking down the bluestone lane resembles a London mews like experience away from the busier adjoining streets.
The property is fortunate to have off street parking. A real bonus in inner Melbourne. We own a large SUV and have no problem parking it. However if you prefer to park in the street then our street has plenty of parking that is never full.
Although the house has BIR'S in every bedroom, having the extra attic storage is amazing. It is fitted out and has enormous storage capacity. There is also additional storage under the stairs which has made a great wine cellar for us.
We have absolutely loved living here and it's with mixed emotions that we are moving on however the time has come to move onto a tree change and the next chapter of our lives.
