Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

7 years ago (after a year of looking) we bought this home as a 2 bed/1 bath with the plan to renovate into our dream family home. We completely renovated only 2.5 years ago, everything was rebuilt/replaced except the front façade and we still love everything about this home.

We were able to design a home which would perfectly suit our lifestyle and our expanding family.

Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac means we have an extra playground on our doorstep for kicking the footy, riding bikes and playing cricket in the street.

As one of our gorgeous neighbours says “once you move to Elizabeth St you never leave Elizabeth St” and she has been here for 20+ years as have 2 other neighbours and another 2 would be close to that also.

No issues with car parking – your park is in front of your house and everyone observes that unwritten rule.

One of our thoughtful neighbours formed a WhatsApp group during COVID lockdown so we could share information, recipes, help one another and sometimes offer a bit of comic relief.

We get together for street drinks where you pull up a chair and BYO for a chit chat and a couple of beverages for a few hours.

What we love about this suburb:

Everything you could want, or need is within walking distance.

Family friendly attractions on our doorstep; Library, Swimming Pool, Zoo and an abundance of parks

Coles on Nicholson St, Woolworths on Albert St, Aldi on Sydney Rd, Bunnings, Post Office and Barkly Square at your fingertips.

Restaurants and cafes - The choice is overwhelming, but we love trying them all and regularly supporting our favourites.

We can walk to and from childcare (or ride or scoot!)

From home to the CBD in 30 mins by train or choice of 2 trams

Why we are selling:

As much as we adore Melbourne and it feels like home, last year, like many people we reevaluated what was important to us and with a baby on the way we have decided to move back to Brisbane to be close to family.
