It has been a beautiful 7 years living at 8 Nunan Street. Moving from Northcote, with a baby on the way, we wanted three big bedrooms, be close to cool bars, restaurants and have gorgeous parkland to explore right at the end of our street– BINGO!
Waking to the sounds of kookaburras laughing, spending our days soaking up the natural beauty of the Merri Creek; we regularly spot lounging blue tongue lizards and even the odd wallaby. We then wind down from a busy day at the local playground or riding along the Merri Creek trail to the city, with a stroll to dinner and drinks. We are spoilt for choice by any one of the latest offerings on Lygon, Nicholson, High Street and Sydney Road.
We have updated the home with a fresh repaint and recarpet. We have also installed reverse cycle air conditioning in each bedroom and loungeroom, synthetic grass in the back yard and Tasmanian Blackwood floorboards.
A pleasant surprise living here has been being a part of such a tight-knit community. The neighbours truly are beautiful people and we look forward to the latest social event that is shared on our Nunan Street Facebook group. We are plot holders at the Merri Creek Community Garden at the end of the street and have enjoyed growing all sorts of delicious organic produce.
We will miss the dappled natural morning light streaming in through the dining room windows, the functionality of the floorplan, the generous sizing of the bedrooms and the peacefulness of our little hamlet. We will miss soaking up the latest wine bar, delicious culinary offering and spotting a piece of local, handmade art at a nearby boutique.
So do a lap of the velodrome, grab a killer coffee from Padre, eat traditional pizzas at I Carusi, devour the Indian street food at Bhang, sip a delicious cocktail or two at Mr Wilkinson, snap up a loaf of goodness at Wildlife bakery and stretch out those muscles at Urban Leopard.
