Owners Notes

Over the last five years we have been lucky enough to call this light filled apartment our home. Our favourite thing about this home and the feature we will miss most is the garden and the indoor/outdoor living environment offered by the wall-to-wall windows and sliding doors. We have used this garden like a second living room, spending many sunny Sunday afternoons out here and enjoying a barbeque most summer evenings. It has also served as an entertainment space. The generous dimensions have accommodated countless dinner parties and birthday celebrations. Most importantly, it was a great space for our dog to enjoy.

Living in this apartment feels like living in multiple suburbs. A ten-minute stroll in any direction can land you on Chapel Street, in the heart of St Kilda, at Albert Park Lake, or on Middle Park beach. We’ve loved the convenience of Chapel Street, which not only offers many bars and restaurants, but also contains multiple supermarkets and, importantly, Dan Murphy’s.

We’ve always felt incredibly well connected to other parts of the city thanks to the excellent public transport options that are on our doorstep. Windsor station is just down the street, and the bus along Punt Road goes right past the MCG and on to Clifton Hill. Most convenient is the three-minute walk to St Kilda Road, which is the artery for multiple tram lines. We’ve never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a tram and the trip into the city is so quick!

The best part of living in Windsor has been the close proximity to the beach. This location offered particular respite during lockdown; a period during which we felt especially lucky to live here. Our pup loved swimming in the dog beach, and we equally enjoyed walking from St Kilda to Albert Park along the water on a Sunday morning, ending up at our favourite brunch spot, Lenny.

We have decided to sell our home because we both work in the inner North and feel ready to move into the next phase of our lives. This apartment has been a really wonderful start for us, and we hope that someone else is able to enjoy it and love it as much as we have.
