What do you love about the home?

We took an old original 1950s house, and used our passion for travel and colour to design a home that welcomes people and permeates calmness and joy. There are many spaces around the property where you can sit quietly on your own or gather with family and friends, with our favourite being the front lawn on a sunny day in the shade of the birch trees. We adore the inside fireplace which is at the heart of the home and feeds into the stunning teal-coloured kitchen. We love the location of Zinnia Street and how our life has been enhanced by this fun and playful home.

What do you love about the area?

Our home is nestled in a unique pocket of Reservoir, located on a quiet, no-through road that connects up with Merri Creek. Our neighbours are fabulous and we are always looking out for each other. They utilise the closeness of Edwards Lake and the Coburg Drive-in as well as the many fun and groovy places such as Hawkers Brewery, Dimattina Coffee Roasters and Cono Gelateria.

One of our favourite things to do is jump on the push bikes and ride to Preston Market or over to Pentridge. There is easy access to Northcote and Brunswick by public transport as we are fortunate to have two different train lines and stations within 3kms, and trams within walking distance. But our most favourite thing about this area is the hidden gem that is Edgars Creek. The many different walking trails take you through eucalypt forests, rock hopping across the creek and over sandstone cliffs that connect you to Merri Creek where you can dawdle down to CERES Community Environment Park.

We are surrounded by dog friendly spaces here at Zinnia Street, and for us we love walking our two Labradoodles along Edgars Creek while saying hello to others who are mountain biking, running or picnicking in the tranquil nature reserve.
