What we love about this home:

When we bought this home we were drawn to the timeless styling and extra-large bedrooms with enormous storage space that offered the comfort we needed to grow our family.Built by Enzo Luxury Homes (luxuryhomes.com.au), there’s been no compromise on quality, which really stood out to us. We were also looking for a double garage to park our cars which was hard to come by in this pocket of Preston.

The loft above the garage has been a blessing being used as a home studio as well as an office, and being detached from the house it’s a nice quiet place to retreat to. The extra-large laneway access has served as some extra space for the kids to play and ride their bikes or play sports, being extremely safe as barely any cars come by (being a no through road).

We enjoy the morning light coming through the living room and courtyard, which is great for entertaining. The low maintenance garden has meant more time spent with our children.

What we love about this area:

We absolutely adore this pocket of Preston, although close to Bell St it is very quiet. Our home is walking distance to trams, buses and trains to get all over wider Melbourne. We love being walking distance to café’s, restaurants and the popular Merri Creek where we can admire nature and spot the odd Kookaburra, Tawny Frogmouth and Yellow-tailed black cockatoo. There are loads of sporting grounds, parks and playgrounds within walking distance including off lead dog parks.

There are many families in the area so there is a real sense of community. Our neighbours are an amazing bunch who have become lifelong friends. We share a WhatsApp group, organise working bees for our lawns and front hedges, and catch up regularly for a laneway drink and our annual celebration parties including Easter, Christmas, New Years Eve.
