What we love about this home:
This house is a pleasure to live in. We love the extraordinary functionality of every space, the details, textures, the light and connectivity to the outdoors. The front garden is your own little private sanctuary with the mature fruiting lime tree producing more limes than we can drink G&Ts. We love that the whole ground level can be used to entertain. The kitchen and dining area is such a great space to congregate around the big table and the kitchen, while beautiful, it is also so, so functional. The deck completes the space, and enables you to spill out of the kitchen and dining area into the outdoors. We’ll miss: the storage – this place has so much storage and it makes life so much easier and tidier!; working from the home office overlooking the garden; the bathroom – I never thought I could love a bathroom like I do this one; waking in the treetops; and the sense of fun in the second bedroom. We called this house our mini-mansion – it delivers a standard of living well beyond its size – and is an absolute joy to call home.
What we love about this suburb:
After previously living in Fitzroy, we loved this part of North Melbourne. The living here is easy. Wonderfully quiet and leafy, yet still providing the inner-city lifestyle we were used to with proximity to not only cafes, restaurants and the CBD, but hospitals, schools, North Melbourne pool, Woolworths around the corner and VIC Market nearby. But the real unexpected stand out for us was Royal Park – we love the native grasslands and bush land. It really is a wonderful spot to live!
Why we are selling:
We renovated this home with the view that we’d never have to leave, but life takes you in unexpected directions and we are embarking on a tree-change adventure!
