What we love about this home:

We purchased this property 4 or so years ago as we loved the older style rooms as well as the light and the space. This is a wonderful example of how apartments used to be made, with higher ceilings, large rooms and separate areas, a separate kitchen!

We have so enjoyed the little galley kitchen with the second balcony which lends itself to a cool glass of wine or an aperitif whilst something bubbles on the stove. The solid walls and low-rise aspect of this apartment block really creates a sense of privacy but in a community setting. The neighbours are friendly, there are little vegie plots downstairs and it is a long way from the alienating high rise super new apartments that I couldn’t bring myself to buy at the time and would never have been happy in.

The security doors at each entrance provide a lovely sense of safety and we have never had problems with anyone entering uninvited. We have loved this apartment with its access to the outside via the large balcony adjoining the living area where we can enjoy dinner, wine with friends, a bit of gardening etc and it feels like a real home.

What we love about this suburb:

Preston is an amazing suburb. The Preston market is everything a local market should be. Diversity is a hallmark of Preston and brings with it a wonderful mix of food, shops, celebrations and experiences. James St is a quiet residential street but with easy access to public transport, so you have the best of being close to everything but in a quiet setting. Everything you need is within an easy distance.

Why we are selling:

We are looking for a place in Warburton to live as we have been planning a tree change so we’ve decided to sell our bright and happy apartment in Preston which we will miss.
