What we love about this home:
We purchased this property 10 years ago and fell in love with the location and its proximity to transport, shops and schools - everything you need is within walking distance.
We also fell in love with the property, the clean simple lines that blend period with contemporary living. The white décor and large plantation shutters make it a beautiful and cosy home to live in. Through-out the year the back-entertaining area has been used for entertaining family and friends and is easily accessed from the main living area through French doors. We have really enjoyed this indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
Brighton Avenue is a great friendly neighbourhood, and over the ten years the neighbours have become familiar faces and someone to chat to - when gardening at the front of the home, you usually get to say hi to most of the neighbours. It is also a beautiful tree lined street, with plenty of shade.
What we love about this suburb:
Preston South on the Thornbury border is a great place to live, with heaps of parks, playgrounds, cafes, bars, restaurants, shopping and schools all within easy walking distance. There is a tram stop at the end of the street and access to Bell Station on the Epping Line a short two block walk. Northland Shopping Centre is close by or you can visit the High St shops in Thornbury and Northcote. South Preston Shopping Centre which has both Woolworths and Aldi’s is two blocks away, while Preston Market is an easy 15 minute walk. Preston South Primary School is at the end of the street.
