Owners Notes

My Life in this Home

My name is Marion and my parents and I came to live here in 1943 to share with my grandparents who had built this, our home, around the early 1920’s.

From day one this was the start of a very happy life. Our street was filled with children, the sound of laughter was the norm!

I remember starting Pre-School and Primary School with all the children walking to school together, not many cars then.

Our milkman, with the horse and cart called every morning with our breakfast milk, plus the baker and ice man (no fridges then!).

Everyone was welcome here, many singalongs around our piano. I met my husband here at, age 15, we married in 1962 and that’s when I left this well-loved home.

I hope whoever buys our beloved home will have a very happy life here and continue to enjoy everything this street has to offer; Brunswick East is a great family suburb!
