What we love about this home:

For me, the two big attractions to this property were the oversized garage and the park next door. I used the garage as a workshop for furniture making; the walls and ceiling have been lined with acoustic thermal insulation, to keep noise disruption to a minimum and make it a comfortable environment to work in.

The park next door is great for many reasons but being dog friendly and having the ability to step straight out into the off-leash dog area was fantastic. Also having that view from the master bedroom out into the park creates a lovely calming natural atmosphere and was a pleasure to wake up to each morning.

The house itself is low maintenance and a very solid construction, the red brick is very charming. Having the house setback and tucked away from the street makes it feel very private and secure.

What we love about this suburb:

There is a good sense of community in the area; we made many great friends in the park next door while out walking our dogs. There are also a lot of bars and cafes popping up around the area. Within walking distance there is Moon Dog World / Three Ravens / JamSheed and our favourite café Little Tienda.

Being able to easily access both the Thornbury Village and Fairfield Village meant we were spoilt for options.
