What we love about this home:

This lovely home offers itself to family-friendly living in almost every way. Its single level layout with central kitchen allows us to watch the children play inside and outside while within the kitchen. The large, level, low-maintenance, secure garden is a safe place for them to explore the world and to grow our vegetable garden and fruit trees. Within, the home’s four-bedroom layout allows a room for each child and an additional study/guest room. The ample storage in built in robes, laundry, and garage has been essential for storing all manner of items for our growing family.

We love how the sunny northern aspect brings in light and warmth through the year and creates fantastic gardening conditions. The lounge room’s location takes advantage of this northern position and provides an ideal spot in the morning sun to read the newspaper over coffee and for the children to play.

This home is warm and cosy in the winter with subfloor heating, split systems, extra thick new ceiling insulation, and a Coonara woodheater and cool in the summer with ceiling fans, screened windows, and two spit system units. No matter what conditions the weather brings we are comfortable and confident because of our new colour bond roof and freshly painted weatherboards.

We will miss all of the comfortable and convenient features we’ve enjoyed in our home over the years.

What we love about Heidelberg Heights:

Heidelberg Heights is a quiet, tree-lined location close to all the amenities we enjoy in Rosanna, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe and Preston with easy access to the city and MCG via the trains in Rosanna and Heidelberg. We love Heidelberg Heights’s convenient access to excellent schools, libraries, the Maternal and Child Health Centre, the Austin and Mercy hospitals, Preston Market, Northland Shopping Centre, family-friendly cafes, and a vast amount of beautiful parkland. Bonar Street itself has a close community feel with a past street jumble sale and an upcoming street party. Around the corner during the long summer days children play street cricket together. Beyond all of this it is amazing to us that we can be close to all of this world-class amenity yet can still enjoy the peaceful sound of parrots and other birds in this green, leafy area.

Why we are selling:

We have purchased a new home closer to our employment that will allow us to spend more time with our family.
