Vendor Review

Great result in a tough market

We were really pleased with Nelson Alexander in managing our marketing campaign for the sale of our house, in particular Jon McKenna from the Ascot Vale office. Jon provided us with an honest appraisal of our home and maintained pricing expectations throughout the campaign. Many competitors provided a very high initial pricing, which did not seem in line with current market comparables, and begun 'conditioning' our expectations to a lower price guide as time went on. We found Jon's approach very genuine both toward us and prospective buyers. In a downward trending market, agents with the greatest access to prospective buyers is a huge advantage. In our area, Nelson Alexander have the largest share of the property sales market and therefore prospective buyers. We found this was a significant advantage during the sale period. The minor alterations to our property recommended by Nelson Alexander in the months leading up to our campaign were well worth the investment and provided that extra 'lift' in our homes appeal and, ultimately, sale price.
