Renovation Excellence with Perfect Parkland Proximity

*Please register your interest for this property so that we can ensure you are included in the auction should there be a last minute change. Thank you.*

In a prized location between the open spaces of Edwardes Lake Park and Edgars Creek Wetlands, this mid-century marvel presents a fantastic family lifestyle opportunity with its versatile design and first-class features throughout. Thoroughly modern while retaining its authentic retro flair, the home's light-filled interior showcases a large master bedroom with fully-fitted walk-in robe and deluxe ensuite, together with two additional bedrooms and equally-stylish main bathroom with clawfoot tub. Add to this a spacious open-plan living/dining area complemented by an impressive modern kitchen complete with timber-top breakfast bar, soft-close cabinetry, dishwasher and 900mm DeLonghi oven. Other highlights of the home include split-system heating and cooling, Blackbutt solid hardwood floors, double-hung windows, ornate plasterwork and original fifties' light fittings, as well as a European-style laundry and rain-head showers to both bathrooms. French doors from the living area lead out to a wide deck ideal for relaxing or entertaining, along with a substantial backyard with handy storage shed, high fences for added privacy and secure carport via side driveway. Enviably convenient with Leamington Street buses around the corner, it's also close to local cafes, primary schools and kinder/childcare facilities, as well as easy access to Reservoir Station and Edwardes Street's vibrant shopping precinct.

Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

This original 1950s home was everything we could have asked for. We wanted our home to pay tribute to the era it was made and with a love of mid century style and natural tones we feel we have done it justice.

A weatherboard home full of character ready for us to renovate and bring our design ideas to life, it is definitely a project that we are proud of.

We feel safe in this home knowing that it has been completely re-wired and re-plumbed. We feel warm in the winter and cool in the summer with fully insulated walls and roof, not to mention 2 new split systems for that added comfort. The home has been professionally re-stumped and plastered too, to give it a new lease on life.

The natural Blackbutt wooden floors are a perfect new addition.

We love that it has 3 bedrooms, with the master having an en-suite and walk in robe to give those luxury feels.

A generous sized second bedroom has a special addition of double doors that lead out to the cutest patio area.

The main bathroom has a glamorous large shower, that you could stay in for hours and when you want to get off your feet, a beautiful claw foot bath is there to dip into.

With fine wood details and freshly painted walls it’s a great backdrop for our furniture.

The open planned kitchen, dining and lounge mean that family times can be shared all together.

Cooking is so much fun, with our new Delonghi oven and the layout makes it easy to move around in. The best part is washing up is a breeze with the dishwasher and views out of our double hung window that looks out onto the deck and backyard.

One of our favourite things is how light our home is, it is flooded by natural light and walking through our French doors onto the deck to have a coffee in the morning is special. With a spacious front garden that provides another outdoor area for the family and pets. Our pride in this house is immense and the fact that it’s situated on a decent size block makes it even more attractive.

What we love about this suburb:

I have grown up in Reservoir and one of the main reasons why we wanted to buy in Reservoir was because of how close it is to everything. Whether it’s traveling 20 minutes into the city or 40 minutes into the Yarra Valley, it really is such a convenient location.

Our home is in a really special pocket of Reservoir too, with Edwardes Lake park being a stone throw away. This was a huge reason why we bought where we did, it meant daily walks with the dog and hanging out with family at the skate park and tennis courts. The Merri Creek runs at the back of our street too, which we feel is a little hidden gem and have had many walks through.

Edwardes street is just up the road and the deli at the local IGA has the best selections.

We are so close to cafes, restaurants, Reservoir station and trams, Preston Market, supermarkets and not to mention the Coburg Drive Inns.

Why we are selling:

We are selling because we want to continue renovating and designing more homes.
