Owners Notes

Having spent many years working in the U.K. with the opportunity to live amongst charming period

homes, we wanted to also become the custodians of a piece of history in Melbourne.

My husband restored period homes for wealthy families in the U.K. and has continued his passion with

this home. With his high standards and eye for detail, the restoration process has taken many hours

but was worth every minute. Our home extension began during COVID and whilst we enjoyed the

process knowing the end result would be worth it, the shortage of trades and materials has not made it

easy one.

We love the variety in having a choice of the Darling Gardens and other local parks to take our daily

walk. On more hectic days, we head to Dights Falls where the gushing waters help to flush away any

tensions.

Being close to the CBD, I love that I can hop on my bike, train, drive or jog to work (depending on the

weather).

Our village location means we can grocery shop at Flowers of Sorrento a couple of blocks away, a

more COVID friendly option without the crowd and queues. We enjoy our walks through the train

station subway to Cavallini on Queens Parade for our freshly baked croissants. The subway walls are

decorated by the local primary school kids with colourful handmade artwork.

We miss our morning surfs and are making a sea-change but wish we could move this beautiful home

with us. We hope the new owners will love the home as much as we did.
