Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

We bought this home 4 years ago. She was our first home and she has been very good to us. So many things to love but the best thing has to be the big, spacious, light filled living area. The raised warehouse roof allows light to flow in all day long, and on a sunny day 3-4pm is what we call the “magic hour”. The room literally glows.

We also love that we can open up the concertina doors so the indoors flows seamlessly onto the outdoor deck. It’s great for entertaining and BBQ’s in summer.

In the midst of the busy urban life that surrounds us, it can feel like our own oasis back there.

What we love about this suburb:

Where do we start?? If you’re a foodie, you’re in the right place! There’s no shortage of good food, coffee, wine and cocktails in Collingwood. And with places like Rupert Wine Bar, Lemon Middle Orange Café and Le Bon Ton (literally next door) there’s no sign that the gentrification of Collingwood is stopping anytime soon (which is great for property prices).

Despite the industrial nature of this area, you’d be surprised by the close knit community here – we know all of our neighbours by name, the guys from the Automotive workshop across the road are very friendly, the Furniture makers at the back always watch out for us and the awesome Bar tenders next door know us a little too well.

Now that we have a 2yo we also love visiting the Abbotsford Convent and Collingwood Children’s Farm. It’s also just a quick walk to Fitzroy Gardens and the CBD.

Why we are selling:

With the plan to extend our family, we need more space. So we are making a sea change and moving to St Andrews Beach.

Whilst we’re excited about the prospect of a coastal life – space, freedom, ocean air, a part of us is sad to say good-bye to our first home. She has seen many ‘firsts’ – a marriage proposal, the birth of our first baby, the beginning of our business…she has been very good to us and we hope the next owners enjoy her as much as we have.
