Distinguished Federation home on vast land
Owners Notes
We moved from Clifton Hill to Ivanhoe 30 years ago because our growing family needed more space. We chose Ivanhoe because of the proximity to the city, tree lined streets, beautiful parks, good schools and real sense of community.
13 years ago, after renovating our house around the corner, with absolutely no intention of moving, we fell in love with Warrigundi and bought it!
It’s a beautiful, strongly constructed 100 year old Federation house with modern living facilities.
We love this house but it’s time to downsize as our children are now independent, young adults.
Accessed by a private laneway off Rotherwood Road our house has been a refuge and peaceful retreat with its north facing established garden, outdoor dining area and spa for those warm summer evenings.
The large deck and outdoor living area has been wonderful for entertaining family and friends.
We’ve always been able to retreat to the second lounge/sitting rooms at the south facing front of the house which is perfect for a quiet read by the fire.
The main bedroom is large and looks out to a small palm garden.
The second bedroom downstairs now serves as an office/study.
There are 2 other bedrooms upstairs, one overlooking the park and the other with great garden views. There is also lots of cupboard space and roof storage area.
The garden has a bungalow with a bathroom, tool and potting sheds, veggie garden and chook shed framed with Bhutanese pines and Cypress trees.
The times of commuting by bike or on foot to work in Fitzroy along the Yarra trail, walking the kids to school, walking the dogs at Chelsworth park and watching football and cricket across the road will be greatly missed.
We have had the most wonderful family life here and we know you will love this house too.
