Owners Notes

What we love about this home:

Living opposite a beautiful park in a distinctive and unusual art deco home, with space for vegetable gardening was an amazing find. The structure is very solid and sound, and all the original features remain – the warm Tasmanian oak floorboards and open fireplace are among our favourites, making for wonderfully cosy winter nights. Both units are light filled and have windows on all four faces of the building, which can be opened for lovely air flow and ventilation. For a single adult, couple or family with one child, these places have plenty to offer.

What we love about this suburb:

They are a short walk from the shopping, dining and public transport (trams 1, 8 and 19) of Sydney Rd and Lygon St, but nestled in a quiet residential space of its own. Princes Hill has a very warm family atmosphere, and of course gorgeous parklands, from Princes Park right across the road to Royal Park a little further west, with a public golf course and the Melbourne Zoo accessible within easy walking distance. Walking to the CBD (Bourke St) takes about 40mins. There is also plenty of residential permit parking, and Melbourne University, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Women’s are both a short way down Royal Parade.

Why we are selling:

We wouldn’t think of it otherwise, but we want to continue growing our families. If circumstances permitted, we would consolidate the two units into a family home and stay right here!

Any other information:

Be prepared for friends and strangers to say “oh, you live THERE? I love that place!”.

The units and area are also pet-friendly.
